Landmark Estates invites you to join us next week for an important event with historical New Mexico treasures.

This terrific estate sale will be held at 555 Camino San Acacio in Santa Fe on August 8, from noon until 4pm, Friday, August 10, from 10am to 4pm, and Saturday, August 11, from 9am until 3pm. This is the home of the Holien Family and Edward Holien was a partner of New Mexico's grand architect, John Gaw Meem. Mrs. Holien owned an early Indian artifacts shop on Main Street in Denver from 1910 until 1929 and we have many pieces from the shop. Tom Holien, the current owner is an anthropologist who has collected treasures from around the world. A sampling of what is offered includes: Fine New Mexico Artists - Gustaf Baumann, Frank Applegate, Laura Gilpin, Pansy Stockton, Tomotzu and many others. An outstanding mirror by Robert Woodman and other fine examples of NM tinwork. There is a painting and a repisa by Louis Ewing as well as a grand collection of Mexican Lacquerware. Native American pieces include: fine pueblo pottery with 3 pieces by Lucy Lewis, Navajo rugs, basketry and one of the finest collections of Old Pawn jewelry we have seen. The early Kachina collection is superb. The library is outstanding and includes books on New Mexico, Spanish Colonial and Pueblo history and design, anthropology. fine art and many other topics. The collection covers the 20th century and includes Eames chairs, Reed & Barton, Francis the 1st, fine lp's, Renaissance recorders and other musical instruments, Leica cameras, outstanding Mexican pottery including Puebla and more, an 18th c. English spice cabinet, and beautiful antique furniture. The garage and kitchen are packed to the rafters with nice ordinary household contents: art supplies, vintage camping gear, tools, good kitchen supplies, and hidden treasures galore! Once again it takes an entire room to display the fine Native American and diamond and gold jewelry. There is a great pin safe with punched tin! The Landmark team is very excited to see you and will have lots of chips and salsa, and don't forget the yummy cookies! We'll have a lot of fun next week and we hope you'll join us for the unique opportunity to glance into New Mexico's past!
